topshot 0 Posted September 12, 2008 Report Share Posted September 12, 2008 i fed the dog today as usuall about 7 oclock just picked the dish up to wash it and found these insects they look like ants they are red and alot smaller than an ant i think they might be mites there was loads of them eating the left overs in the dish any ideas what these might be and how i should go about getting rid of them thanks topshot will try and get photos later but the misses has mopped them up now Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Take back to shop if you find any more .Most mites are fairly specific about what they will feed and live on so finding and taking away the cause is the first move.
