Deker 3,478
The jet-Zâ„¢ CQB suppressor is a lightweight, ultra-compact rifle suppressor. Manufactured in Finland by Ase Utra OY, the jet-Z CQBâ„¢ suppressor incorporates Ase Utra's patented jet-Zâ„¢ baffle system. The jet-Zâ„¢ CQB is an all-steel, all-welded unit. The jet-Zâ„¢ CQB adds only 550 grams net weight and 120 mm net length to a typical rifle – and with a diameter of just 40 mm, the suppressor is slim enough to be used with low-mounted telescopic or iron sights. The jet-Zâ„¢ CQB is available with a variety of internal threads to fit directly onto the rifle barrel. Standard threads include; M14x1, M17x1, M18x1 ½"x20 UNF, ½"x28 UNEF to fit most current centrefire rifles. Performance The jet-Zâ„¢ CQB suppressor reduces sound pressure level by 32 dB (A). In addition to the reduction in sound signature, the suppressor also reduces recoil and an added benefit is the elimination of visible muzzle flash. Rifles tested with the jet-Zâ„¢ CQB suppressor comply with the new personal noise exposure limit set by European Directive 2003/10/EC (140 Pa or 137 dB©) Specifications Calibres .222 Rem, .223 Rem ja .22-250 Rem Weight 550 g Diameter 40 mm Overall length of suppressor body / Added length to weapon 150 mm / 120 mm Sound suppression ( 1m left of the muzzle ) 30-32 dB (A) Warranty 2 years Available through ... http://www.jacksonrifles.com/ Quote Link to post

IanB 0
To be honest igray88, theres not a lot of difference in the sound reducing qualities of any of the moderators available, its personal choice, me I prefer the reflex style..someone else would prefer the jetz,etc.... But......so what about the paint..does it still work...I'll bet it does!!! Plenty of shades of black available in spray cans (including heat resistant)!!! Quote Link to post

I prefer the the reflex type but I used to have the ASE S5 and it definately has the edge on the Predator 8, of which I have 2. The Jetz is a bit better than the S5 range, it is marginal but noticeable!! So I rate the Jet z the best...but I don't use them!!! Quote Link to post

The Jet z and ASE range are definately better than the Predator Mods! They are also about 140g lighter than the Predator 8! Don't believe the quoted figures ...I have actually weighed them! Deker 3,478
Are any ASE Utra mods stripp-able for cleaning or do they not need to be cleaned ? The ASE and Jet z are NOT strippable in the conventional sense! You can certainly take them apart but it's a bit of a job, sonic cleaning is suggested by some, but no idea how or where you could get this done. The Predator range are very easy to strip and clean and the modular design means "parts" can be replaced if required rather than throwing away the whole mod and starting again! ASE and Jet z hang off the end of the barrel, the Predator is a reflex type! Jet z around £300, ASE not far behind, Predator can be had for £200! Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
ase cqb here is the dogs bollocks tames the 22/250 a treat. after every use take it off the rifle spray some wd40 over it and in it. and leave it thread up on a piece of paper and all is good. as for the noise difference to a 223 there is not really much difference mate. not to the ear anyway i couldnt tell next to my mates 223 with the same mod. i can get the mods for £265 if you give me a shout. i i was going for over barrel mod i would get the predator 8 well priced, stripable for cleaning, and well built plus if you have different caliber rifles you can swap and change the diffuser Quote Link to post
