I use the Deben Pro Atom with red filter. Battery goes on ur belt and the wires rap round the stock, With a felcro strip for the dimmer switch to stick to the gun. the lamp itself clamps on to the scope. Ive never had a problem with it as I do my shooting mostly in the night. :good::good:

On .22 rimfire I've settled on the deben tracer with red filter, the beam is good enough out to 100 metres  and you buy a clip-on bracket which fixes on top of your scopes, costs about £4 -if your scopes are 30mm then its a very tight fit........the only trouble with deben is that they do not make the connections very strong especially into the cigarette plug,i've always had to open them up and re-solder the connections and usually they break free or come loose when your out miles away from home.I do nearly all my lamping on my own and this set up works best for me with the lamp plugged into a metal battery box slung over one shoulder/game bag over the other, the lamps not cheap but if your out a lot its worth the price.....regards Rab1t
