yes you would have to put shreded news paper,straw,sawdust or something in the bottom which i normally do with a wooden one anyway but thanks for the questions and answers all taken on board,

Like the idea of plastic boxes alright. Just recently got a double bowback box and hawk box both from the same material. Got them here......

i realy like it, it mine with 3 ferrets in it with my big fat hob in it is too heavy, and i usualy walk to my ferreting spots it is realy annoying.

i bought a falcon one at a show last year, it is now full of spanners and stuff in the garage, my ferts had a REAL BAD dislike for it, put a fert in and two minutes later, all hell would break loose, take the fert out and all is well, i persevered for a while, even put a piece of ply in the base as a last resort, in the end one of the hobs started getting nasty every time it saw it so it had to go.....weird thing is my mates two kits didn't seem bothered at all.....they both stank like toilets on arrival though, even though he drilled holes in the bottom to let the piss out, filled it with various different things to try and help, nothing worked so he gave it me back......hope your version is better mate
