Upper case is bordering on being rude mate! and as far as the Lingo is concerned on the net its frowned on as SHOUTING. its not a rule on the boards at the moment but you're causeing a bit of friction by continueing to use it ....

i think in order to be a decent Christian, or ambassador of any religion or belief you need some challenge and debate. what good are you if you can only quote what other people say and have no understanding of the words tumbling out of your mouth?

 

if kids are having religion forced on them then i would, as a parent, be in someones face telling them to back off.

the problem with religion is not the religion itself. its the zealots and money mongers that want to rally everyone into their little club. if you've ever actually read the bible yourself you'll find out its really a peaceful, non-confrontational religion that gives each individual a guideline for living a happy life. now you can achieve that by not being a Christian as well. its just common sense on how to be decent and respectful to other people... but certain denominations have twisted and distorted it and literally maimed whole civilizations in the name of God... which was not the point in the first place!

thats the bitterness i see... it isnt something you read FROM THE BIBLE... its something SOME ONE did to you in the name of God.

 

a good movie i recommend watching is called Saved. covers all the points i'm making here. you dont need a priest or complicated routine or prayer in order to go to Heaven. all you do is believe in God and that Jesus is his son and he died for your sins. So basically.... since that day, as i understand it... we're ALL sin free. we're not born in sin as some would like us to believe.... some will say if a newborn baby dies before it gets to meet the priest then its doomed to live out eternity in limbo.. now THAT is a load of crap...

 

Anyway i like having my faith, and i dont mind being challenged on it at all. if people cant handle their beliefs being challenged, if it frightens them or makes them angry then they're doing something wrong. one of the biggest sins is to doubt your god(or yourself if you're an atheist). doubting also means worrying about things you have no control over....

which brings us back to this experiment. If you're worried the world will end due to tiny black holes then you've just doubted God's ability to take care of you.

 

anyway i didnt want to turn this into a sermon. everyone's entitled to believe what ever they want and talk about it as much as they want WITHOUT trying to belittle others with a different opinion.

Liken it to the kennel clubs lol i hate them, i think they're useless and have done f*ck all good for dogs of the world and i think they should be shut down. Now somewhere in this forum someones going to get the hackles up and come at me with ten different reasons the KCs should stay and how much good they HAVE done.. all those breeds of dogs we wouldnt have because they would have become extinct were it not for the rigid breeding programs in the KCs lol
