So is this the "GOD PARTICLE" or "COSMIC GLUE" the invisible stuff that holds all matter together that they are looking for?Is it the same big bang THEORY that has also become a FACT??LAW EVEN???????

1.SCIENTIFIC HYPOTHESIS=i think im 5ft10 but in reality im about 5ft 8 UNTIL i experiment and measure myself.SCIENCE.

 

2.SCIENTIFIC THEORY=I believe my GGGGG Grandfather was 5ft 11,based on the height of his decendants but he died in Africa lost so its my THEORY,can t be proven until i find his remains.

Unproven and impossible to scientifically test.THEORY

 

3.LAW.My dad IS ACTUALLY 5ft 6,proven by measuring him in person.SMALL TESTABLE EXPERIMENT,BUT STILL SCIENCE.

 

SCIENCE IS THAT WHICH CAN ONLY BE TESTED AND PROVEN REPEATLY IN A LAB.ANYTHING BELOW "SCIENTIFIC LAW" IS NOT BACKED BY SCIENCE THEREFORE ONLY AN IDEA AT BEST.

I was brought up the same way Strong Stuff. If there is a God particle, or indeed a God, I hope humans never manage to unlock the secrets of it. We have done a right proper job of f*****g up the majority of the planet as it is without forcing yet another Pandora's box open. If we were meant to know the secrets to life the universe and everything, we would have figured them out long before now. Its reckoned we only use a tiny percentage of our brains and that they have capacities which are as yet unused, and look at the damage we can do! Its true what they say that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing

 

This planet needs a right good purge anyway, hope a black hole does swallow it up and the whole process can start again, maybe better off without humans a second time around! Im working my way through my "things to do before I die list" just incase its quite short due to a mis spent youth

If the theories are correct, and they can be produced in the LHC, then they are formed naturally in the atmosphere many, many times each year due to the impact of cosmic rays. Cosmic rays have a lot more power than anything the LHC will be able to output, so if microscopic black holes do appear, why are we still here if they're so dangerous?

 

What gets me, is it always seems to be the physics side of science that gets a bigger share the funding. Why not pump all the resources into biology so that we can find cures for genetic conditions, food shortages, cancer cures, virus vaccines, etc. Once we've learned all we can about ourselves and our planet, then is the time to learn more about the universe.
