smasher 1,055 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Share Posted September 10, 2008 A good day out,dug to the old smasher dog with two friends of this site,The soil wasnt to hard but was in an arkward spot,in a dip with banks all around it was hard to throw out the soil without some of it falling back in.The old russell held his game well,not giving it an inch.The final dept was 9 foot and took about 3 hours,would have had him out sooner but soil kept falling back into the hole,good exercise though.Game let run for another day Quote Link to post

Great result anyway lads, nice looking Russell too Normally would have dug it a lot wider but we were using an 8 foot box to a 15 foot colar and wasnt expecting it to be that dept have to get myself a b+f however we did have a short handled bull nose shovle that i always bring along,handy for clearing out Quote Link to post
