LAMPING THE DALES LAST NIGHT

Recommended Posts

Lamper came with me last night, on my weekly pillgrimage :notworthy: to the dales :D . we also met up with nobby and fieldmarshal. they just had there young coursing dogs out and only wanted a dozen or so again, and were only out for an hour.

Lamper wanted more of a test for his bitch donner, the weather wernt to bad a bit of wind and the odd light shower , the moon was getting quite big , so not perfect conditions , but good enough :victory:

Lampers bitch started very well catching 5 from 6 , wereas Tara missed a few early on , but i think she was just getting her "eye in" :tongue2:

any way we took it nice and steady , plenty of drinks for the dogs in streams and troughs, splashing water on them to keep them cool, but by the time we got back to the motor after 3 hours we had 61 rabbits and a partridge. Tara had 31 and donner 30 and the part, a very enjoyable night. TOMO

i have answered all these questions on rabbiters mate. but i will answer a few more here just for you. :clapper:

1 Q. how many did the dogs miss, A. none at all :whistling:

2 Q.what distance im slipping, A. about 1 yard away :tongue2:

3 Q. how many squatters. A. evry one of them :clapper:

4 Q. how long is the grass. A. like a bowling green :whistling:

4 Q. are the rabbits opening up A. no mark rabbits dont bark :tongue2:

mark why all the questions, :D in all seriousness i think your dogs will do well up here, most peoples dogs will stand a better chance . i not saying there all easy , some areas bennafit the dogs. after all you should know . you have had big scores in cornwall havent you. 70 i seem to recall with one dog. :victory:
