collie/grey 238
My collie/grey will still catch rabbits, BUT if she can't be arsed to run after them she won't, she still retrieves them live to hand, but if she sees her bigger game she's always keen and always puts in the effort, she was great on it all a couple of years ago, starting to frustrate me abit. Would it be an idea to lay off tracking the big stuff for a while and only go after rabbits? Quote Link to post

Typical collie cross traits imo, once the dog has started to please itself what it runs there is no going back. A lot of people say collie hybrids are clever i just think they dont have enough heart for the job. Quote Link to post

hunter-girl 10
I think just lay off the big and stick to rabbits for a little while - dont even let her chase big things and try to only put her on the bunnies she is likely to catch you may find if she misses to many then she will get it in her head that there is no point in this running for nother Quote Link to post
