well i cant see a lump , but i can see a small area that could be mistaken for a penis, silly question but is it a female :laugh:

 

 

Might be small to you Kay but it's the world to the ferret...lol

 

My old jill had a lump on her chest for a couple of years, she was too old to be messed about with imo and it never bothered her, some times it would almost disappear and then come back over night.

Sound's like a herina and when you pick her up it goes back in ,Does it stress your ferret any when you touch it ????

ive not seen it going in and out ....lol i noticed it had gone this mornin, it was there for two days and hasnt appeard back .....yet

i said at the start it sounds like a hernia but now it's disappeared im pretty much convinced, hernias in young are not uncommon and small ones often right themselves as the animal gets older, i would just keep an eye on it, if it doesnt go but stays small, dont worry but if it stays and getsbigger id seek advice, also seek some advice on breeding a gill with a hernia because if it doesnt heal itself then there will be a permanent hole there and pregnancy may stretch it or trap her intestines or something..... :thumbs:

you people have saved me 15 quid btw!! thank you!! the offending lump reappeared in the exact same spot 2 mins ago but it was tiny i touched it n it went back in again so im sure youve diagnosed the ferret correctly =] thnx all
