ferreterni 29
This is my terrier cross, what do you think the terrier in her is? When I bought her I meant to see the dam (terrier) but got talking bout his lurchers instead. Just want opinions of what she is, I have my ideas what she is though. she used for bushing, and has just started to mark off her own back. Pics at vahttp://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/style_images/progreen/folder_attach_images/attach_remove.pngrious times of her coat clipping cycle haha Quote Link to post

ferreterni 29
cant find any better pics at the min. The pic of her over grown is recent, then I had to give her a harsh clip cos was overgrown, thats the second pic. normally maintain her coat shortish cos it is so thick! Quote Link to post

ferreterni 29
The cross is a terrier spaniel, Was never sure what could throw the black coat. She is very similar in coat to a kerry blue, and A couple of people have said that, I have seen some vids on youtube of wheatens in someones house, and she looks and moves and barks very very similarly to them, only a different colour. The man I got her off kept borderxlakies and lurchers in the kennel, and mine was the last of the litter so didn't even see any siblings. Really should've seen the dam, but forgot all about it haha can't complain about her tho as she is a very smart keen dog. Will lift sitters from the long grass and retrieve them live. But her jaw and teeth feel like cast iron, solid. She is around 17"tts I think. Thought that maybe patt would have thrown that colour or she is cocker not springer? But her coat is so thick that if too long she can't work cover cos she just stcks fast in hedge. Quote Link to post

ferreterni 29
No offence taken, thought it was maybe a technical term I hadn't heard yet. Only new to the whole game haha Are terrier spaniels not thought of as much good then? Quote Link to post
FLATCAP 6
Looks like backfill.took the words right out me mouth lol Quote Link to post
COMPO 54
coat could have come from the spaniel, my cocker has an awful coat that is really thick and needs clipping lots, the terrier could have been anything as most solid coloured terriers will throw black and the cocker x pat's i have seen were all black! even when the pat was chocolate Quote Link to post
