im after some advice on what age to start working my terrier. hes an 11mth plummer 14" he picked his 1st rabbit out of a bush yesterday,no matter how long i walk him for he dosnt seem to tire and hell do anything not to get back in the van. some people are saying hes ready to work now, others are saying leave it until hes 18mths. to me he seems ready but its my first terrier and dont wanna risk it. by working him i mean walking up n down hills all day and catching bolted rabbits?

my patt is about 9 months, held down a big buck rabbit that was allmost as big as her at abt 7mnths, she comes everywhere with me, picks up shot game, kills rats for fun in the grain store, and self entered to a fox which she flushed on sat (pissing rain, i shit myself thought i was gonna have a long lonely dig with no terrier finder, but she flushed it and followed out) i was well chuffed!! yours should be well ready for a few rabbits.

All the best
