hi victor i was once told ant powder works better than wasp powder never tried it but its something worth bearing in mind atb

Who told you that?! Ant powder and "wasp powder" (Ficam D to most pesties!) are basically the same thing, a bendiocarb based insecticidal dust. Sure, there are slight variations as to the type of insecticeds- I'm sure some pesters will use a permethrin based dust for wasps, just as I'm sure there are probably permethrin based ant powders commercially availiable.

Long and short of it- "ant powder" will kill a wasp nest, but if you want to go close enough to the nest to treat it with the duster pack, then basically, you're a fool!

Leave it to the pros!

Every situation is different but I favour Ficam D (powder) for the wasps and Ficam W (liquid) for the ants...so long as it works and I don't get called back!
