davyt63 1,845 Posted September 6, 2008 Report Share Posted September 6, 2008 hi every one Ive had a nice 10 day break down at the coast place called new Milton [ HOBOURNE CARAVAN PARK NAISH ] i also had a generous invitation to do some shooting whilst on me hols from a post i put up on this site it came from Hyperion. well met up with Pete on Sunday 31st august at 4.00am at his place and then on to the permission we arrived at the farm at 4.20am for an early start got kitted up and of we went to the hide which Pete and James had made and very good too. so we are in the hide waiting for sun up just chatting & chatting & more chatting then the first target arrived a crow so i bowed down and let Pete take the first of the day it being his permission lol it dropped like a stone 35yds head shot .it wasn't too long before i had my first of the day a pigeon landed on the wires above the hide THWACK down it goes . on this farm there is a silage pit where most of the days kills fell and i wasn't going in to get them when they fell dead in to it so only a pic of what fell on the land. and Pete you must tell me where you got the pork pies from they were very nice, anyway not much happened after we picked a few more of and had a cup of tea and more pies & chicken drumsticks. i also got a second invite to lamp some rats on the farm it wasn't the best weather but was out in it anyway because us southern boys don't mind the rain lol. we got set up on top of a small hill shooting towards about 200 tyres all randomly stacked which Pete had already baited and we sat and waited not for long though the first kill went to yours truly with a head shot luckily it didn't fall to far as it is like a maze the way the tyres are stacked .we would never find it if it had fallen right in as we discovered to are self's at the end of the night i managed to get 3 Pete got 4 and James got 6 so not bad for a nights lamping . we only managed to recover 6 though as i said before very hard to find them . but it was a great night and i enjoyed it very much. that's what its all about meeting like minded people and getting out there , would like to thank Pete & James for a good time i had and lads if your ever up wiltshire way you both are welcome anytime but you must supply the pork pies lol. here are a few pics Pete AKA { Chris moles so the misses says lol } James AKA { max Brennan from Easterners } yours truly AKA Davy63 and could not resisted on going out to the business park to do some THWACKING for a few hours last night and this is what i got the last pic is for Chris & max lol cheers lads once again thank you happy hunting Davy Quote Link to post
