trapper25 0
took the dogs out for a run this morning and decided to take my albino jill for her first outing, the terrier marked burrow after burrow and although the jill was going in one hole and coming out of the next hole no rabbits where bolting! worked the same area last week with my other ferrets and rabbits everywhere, its as if she was just running through without using her nose, well anyway ater afew more attempts and still no bunnies i thought id give her one last try before heading home the lurcher actually chased a rabbit into this bury so i knew there was somone at home so fifteen minutes after entering her and still no sign of rabbit or ferret i decided to try the locater, as i bent over to get it out pops my jill with no collar on after a quick bleep i found the collar was 8ft under ground, i was by my self but it was only sand so i started digging, went down 4ft easily then it started to rain and the sides started to slide in ! i thought theres £45 down there keep digging then i thought if im 8ft down and the sides cave in on me £45 doesnt seem so much! result i am now one collar down and very wet but ferrets safe and sound thats the main thing so anyone selling a mk3 ferret collar please pm me cheers trapper Quote Link to post

Guest Magwitch
I think they are making the newer collar's with leather instead of those shite nylon straps. Quote Link to post
andy s410c 59
Bad news about the collar T25 seems the MK3 collars are like Marmite I've had no probs with mine(touch wood) you can get them on a lot tighter than you think. The fert would let you know if it was too tight.... will82 0
Thats real bad luck mate. Ive been lucky so far touch wood, not come off below but have come off in the nets. The only good thing I suppose is that you know the ferret will not be stuck fast if it got hung up on a root. Edited September 7, 2008 by will82 Quote Link to post
