hi all,does anyone know where i can get spares for the mk1.just need the on/off mechanism.tried deben ,but met with the usual wall of silence.if anyone has an old one (BROKEN) al swap for a dozen new purse nets thanks,kev...........

What do you mean by the mechanism? Could you self repair and improvise one?

Do you mean the wheel ??? somebody was making metal replacement one's

it,s the part that the wheel sits on. apparently theres a part inside that gets worn and causes it to bleep intermitantly.

Got the same problem mate and Deben are as much use as a holed condom.

Wont give any info or spares list.

If they dont make em anymore whats the problem?

a mate of mine who dabbles in electronics,says theres not much can go wrong with em.problem is, all the chips and stuff inside have had the numbers blacked out . he reckons if we could get the part numbers,fixing em is easy.it makes you feel like telling deben to shove it up ther arse.the sooner summat else comes on the market the better........

I took mine into the electronic dept at work and they said the same if the numbers hadn't been rubbed off you could make one in ten minutes for pennies . There was a guy down south making something similar but iv'e never heard anything about him for ages
