just wondered if any one has tried making an atractor for rats using their scent glands?

ive heard of people using the glands from fox stoat mink ect but never heard of it being done with rats!

does any one know if it would/does work?, and are there any other scents that work as a rat magnet?

cheers

ive herd penut butter is all you need :whistling::whistling:

ive tried penut butter and chocolate spread but they dont seem that interested, though ive used half a loaf of bread before with some success!

:hmm::hmm: why not try some rabbit guts!! surley they will smell that and be intrested?

rats like fresh food, gotta get your mind away from just "smell smell smell" although some smell is good ;) they love it fishy, and they are suckers for half an apple aswell, we had success tonight on choc spread and halibut pellets. you cant beat just waiting for them on a regular run though!

we get given mouse and rat attractents to place inside bait stations, to draw the rodents into the box to feed, not really neccessary with mice, but as rats have a fear of new objects, it would be great if it worked, but cant say Ive ever had it give me better "takes"
