Need some help please everyone.....I am developing a website for shooting accessories, bit of fishing, archery, scopes and on through the air guns, shotguns, rifles and ammo in due course, you get the idea!

Now I need to call it something, options above, what do you prefer please??

I have an open mind on the name and the sites listed above are simply in alphabetical order!

the name needs to relate to what the overall business is, by that I mean I wouldnt go into a shooting shop for fishing equipment...

If the bulk of your business is shooting then any of the shooting names would suffice, but if you want to attract passing trade etc it needs to be huntershop, methinks.... hunt-shoot-fish.com

Do I win a pair of Danner or Meindl waterproof boots for my advice, size 10.5 please I'll pm you my address :whistling:

hi Deker

you say that your developing this for shooting accesories and a bit of fishing/archery etc. So i rekon that if it is mainly shooting then i would have that in the name. i voted for shootingstore. i liked the word store because it suggests that there is going to be a good selection of kit. most liked huntershop but i dont think that will google very well.

cheers tone

Personally I wouldn't go for a domain name with 'Deker' in it as for the majority of people searching for something you might sell, 'Deker' is pretty irrelevant.

Nastkl71 is right with his advice to try and get the keywords in the domain name. I guess huntershop sums it up but you could also register archershop, fishermanshop and shootershop and point them at the same main domain. Ideally these should all be different websites rather than just redirecting to the one as again you will get better results on Google. I guess you're going for the UK market so I'd have .co.uk rather than .com as this will give better results for the UK too. They're cheaper too, £30 each for two years I think. Plus VAT.

Make sure you optimise the site for the search engines. It's surprising how many sites don't bother but it really isn't too hard.

Good luck.

I voted for Shooting-sports only because, I think it sound good and I think it may attract others to the site by you including the word sports but what do I know lol. Good Luck with the new venture.
same here says what it is on the tin :gunsmilie:
