slickdicko 0 Posted September 5, 2008 Report Share Posted September 5, 2008 guys my dad has just passed this stalking course and is able to get a rifle hes after a 243 some one has offered him one for £300 and id just like your opinion as we are new to this .. its a PARKER HALE 243 WITH WEAVER MICROTRACK 6X40 SCOPE i have not seen this gun yet but i am told its been well looked after .......opinions wanted guys thankyou!!! Mainstream rifles like CZ and Remington are available for £450-£550 if you look in the right place, and they're new. THat's the route I would go down UNLESS you find a rifle that's clearly in good nick and you know it's been looked after. If you can shoot it first, great - if it shoots well and works, you know you're doing OK Quote Link to post
