meinnotts 1
in order to be old and wise you have to be young and foolish.................. i nearly shot my foot once while i was in the landy, i had one up the spout picked up the gun must have forgot to put the safety on and psssssssss one .22 calibre lead pellet inbedded into 1/4 inch rubber defender front passenger mat................don't think i have ever forgotten the safety since glad everything turned out ok, as said it could've been a lot worse. Headshot08 36
My dad shot himself in the hand with a Hw45 22 air pistol running at 6ftlbs at point blank on acciendent! one of his friends had loaded the gun to shoot targets they were aiming at at forgot to tell hima t the end of the session, meanwhile my dad was comming home in the family car with me my brother an my mum driving, when suddenly BANG!! Blood then splattered up the window and contionued to pour out exacly like a fountain! my gun when off as he picked the gun up after thinking his friend would not give him a loaded air pistol... the pellet lodged itsselve between his index finger and his thumb inbedding it extreamly deep... even being 6ftlbs it wasnt opperational without the risk of losing abilty to his thumb or index fingers or both being the man he is he let it heal over with the pellet still in there you can still feel it in his hand now!! As he is good friends with this dentist he got it xrayed and i have the scan here:) as a reminder to always check mine and lean from his mistakes Steve Quote Link to post

johnbaz 363
as a youngster of about eight years, my grandad bought me a .177 webley junior rifle, and as a youngster of about eight years, i had no sense of danger. i had left the rifle loaded with one of those red plastic re-useable pellets that could be bought about fourty years ago, anyhow, my dad was raking out the ashes to make a fire that morning, i picked up the little rifle, took aim at his arse, squeezed the trigger (obviously not knowing that i'd left it loaded )well- talk about scream- he nearly went up the chimney he turned around and slapped me with the flat of his hand and he lifted me right over the settee i got my own back the next day, he was just about to sit down on the settee with the newspaper and i had a stanley screwdriver in my hand and stuck it between the cushions... he sat on the sharp end and i went over the settee again christ, i was such a nuisance back then, i deserved every hiding that i got  john Quote Link to post

whippeter94 0
Well when i was 8 i was target shooting in the garden with my uncle and my brother, I was shooting a bsa supersport, and my brother a bsa meteor. The bsa super sport which i was shooting had no saftey mechanism, so i cocked the gun put the pellet in but as i was so egar to get a shot off i had my finger on the trigger and i pulled it as i put the pellet in with my thumb and the barrel lock on to it, I never made a noise i had my thumb suck in a gun so the only was to get it out was to cock the barrel which i did very quickly out of fear so i ran into the house and my mum took me straight to casualty i had to have 12 stiches 6 on each side of my thumb as the part that i caught my thumb on it went straight thu it Quote Link to post
