brassring 2
I think the size of a dog doesnt matter as long as it does everything you want it to. I have a 3/4 wheaten grey and she does all at 23tts. Quote Link to post
Guest greengrass123
Went ferreting the other day took my dog 21 inch saluki whippet bitch, working alongside two dogs both over 25 inch. Out of all the bolters only one dog kept taking them, yep that little bitch made them look stupid. Consider this if a stoat 3inch ats can course a rabbit and kill , how big does a dog have to be. Some people only keep big dogs as an image maker, others that have them use them on the right ground and the right quarry ,those guys are the genuine lurcher men. you ever seen a stoat courseing? and what else is a 21 ins dod good for? apart from short people poseing with them 24/25 for an alround dog for me 21 inch dog is good for catching rabbits, is 6 feet considered short. Youve got a lot to learn. Quote Link to post
Chid 6,488
well lads just wondering what would use rather have a small dog or a big dog youre opinions ?? cheers jordy well i would go for a big dog as when you wake up i bit more you will see there is bigger game around you and will see you need a bigger dog but small dogs are ok for rabbits but they ant my cup of tea you dont need big dogs for big game..... my mate as a bull x what only stands at 21/22 inches and it smashes foxes for fun. also a few people run dogs of 23/24 on deer with no problem. hob have a look at deps dog pre ban that dog would of done anything and everything and on her own. back to the post i wanted a small dog mainly for rabbit but mine is now 25 and half inches at ten month old so isnt small lol that hoosie one you have there looks a cracker that dog is my lasses she brought it over from northern ireland when she came here , he does rabbit and did hare over there . moving back soon so he will be getting tried out on the reds .
