Irish Lurcher 1,013
Someone needs to put finger to key board to advoid problems, I dont think we will have messers, but just so its clear to everyone, we need some sort of guidance. Judges should have the last word, I run a pike comp every year among close friends, and we have some rules that we must obey, believe me it will be best for all in the long run. Quote Link to post

Irish Lurcher 1,013
1. All competitors should run their own dog. 2. It should be agreed as to the duration of the competition. 3. In order to cut down on travel, it should be agreed that those living closest to each other should run against each other. 4. It should be agreed that a judge should preside over each session, and the judge has the final word regarding an objection. 5. Once the judge is satisfied the dog has caught the rabbit regardless if it retrieved or not it counts. 6. I thing we should elect two board members who would oversee the running of the comp, I suggest Macker and Jigsaw, if they are willing to help out. Lads this is not the rules, but we must start somewhere. Your input please. Quote Link to post
Irish Lurcher 1,013
what happens if you slip you dog he takes 3/4 step forward and doesnt chase does it count as a run? IF THE LEAD IS SLIPPED THEN YES, BUT ONLY IF THE LEAD IS SLIPPED. What dog takes a 3/4 step, or you drunk Not worth keeping if ya ask me. Quote Link to post
