A mate was saying when they did the re-wires they would keep the old copper and weigh it In every so often. He never mentioned figures and I doubt you would get rich from it but I'm sure It would pay for a round or 2 Friday night.

 

I never pay much attention to the news but wasn't there a lad that got caught nicking some recently.

I'm getting £3200 per ton of "dry bright wire" which is mostly 4mm+ stripped swa or sy it's no good burning the insulation off anymore you have to strip it by hand but it's worth it when you weigh it in £££££££££££££££££££££££££££

its about £6000 for copper but not wire,it depends if they know you or not or so it seems,a a mate dose the batterys as a business and gets a lot better price than most.
