Down Like A Sack Of Spuds

"Down like a sack of spuds" the term i use when i kill a bird and it drops from the tree with no movement or life, usually from a head or heart shot.

 

Wondering what your terms and quotes are for when a bird drops from a tree lifeless?

'Dead'? . . . . . Someone mention 'dead'?? . . . . . . . I do dead . . . .

 

. . . . .I see dead people . . . . . its me job . . . . . Innit!? lol

 

Seriously though, dead is all you really can say, i guess? With me, i usually say something like "it was dead before it hit the ground" (rabbit or quarry bird on the ground), or "it was dead before it fell off the branch" (squizzer or bird in the tree) - to me, it indicates a clean and rapid death of the target, like?
