maty j 6
Is that the frog gig off cabelas mate? Looks like the only one on there. Yes them small trout. Just something else to try and keep me buisy I just remembered I was supsoed to be getting some pics up! You can see what the heads like on them pics - sort of inverted trident. It srews on and off so I was going to hammer a thread into a handle and screw that trident on so can use it as a spear or on the gun. Who's Robson Green M? Is It going on TV him spear fishing. Wouldn't mind watching that If you know the time and channel? sounds interesting. Quote Link to post
mackem 29,029
Good question Maty, just who is Robson Green?I know a few lads who worked on the "Soldier, soldier" series in Hong Kong, they appeared for continuities sake throughout the far-eastern series,he played a character called Dave Tucker, said he was just a regular bloke,no pretentions, and I saw him briefly buying red-roses in Susans flower shop in Sunbury Cross about 5 or 6 years back. You might remember him as the forensic Psychologist in "Wire in the blood".He hosts "Extreme Fishing" Monday nights 9pm channel 5,to be honest despite the fact he is also from the north-east he seems a little out of his depth hosting the program, slightly over exhuberant maybe?Or maybe its just because I am a little envious Yeah mate,frog-gigs,thats the ones, read the reviews, most folks even stateside rednecks use them for fishing, from alligator-gar to flounder, though they are the same basic pattern sold around the mediterranean in fishing-tackle shops as fishing-spears. mackem 29,029
I wonder how many people are wandering round north-wales with a spear-gun in a rifle-slip peering into trout streams, avoid those mushrooms Maty Quote Link to post
maty j 6
Alligators with spears!! It's not that Gorgetzski fella Is It. A mate was telling me awhile ago about one of his DVDs were he catches sharks on a hand line before shooting them. I'll keep an eye out for a gig on ebay. There's a few antique ones on our eBay and some tridents in the US but postage is usually the killer. The postage on my boots I had was the same price as the goods, still a bargain though. I'll put that program In the planner for monday anyway, Cheers mate. Did you manage to wire a pike In the end M? None The case was just left on the sofa In the hall from when I took the gun out last. I took the lamp one night and they weren't for staying in the beam. I have a spot that I'm going to try day time though. I've caught loads from there poking it and you can get practically right ontop of the fish so If I can shoot straight down I could be onto something Only problem Is the amount of dog walkers there hence why I tried night first As for mushrooms - Don't know what you mean Edited September 2, 2008 by maty j Quote Link to post

The bass fishing world championships, those good ole boys love it Have caught plenty over there and also something very similar off the coast of Oregon but they did fight like stink, came hurtling back into the beach on a Dory fishing boat with sirens blazing, crested a wave and the skipper landed the boat on the sand Quote Link to post
