that sounds the same as the dam to my dog .she never recovered from it.its advisable to keep them away from any running of the sort for as long as possible .even tho its broke its leg the dog will still want to have a go at its job regardless.all i will say is my mates never recovered fully.and only thing you may benifit from, stock if you think its worth it is breeding  good luck

one of ours broke the front leg,it was plated and after 3 months was back to how it was before!! no slower don't seem to worry her at all!she never worried about of has hurt it in any way,the only problem she had was a few strained muscles just after starting running again.in theory its stronger than before so as long as it gets a chance to heal dont worry.

we had a top grade greyhound broke its leg 1st trial run for us, kept it of the track for a few months came back fitter and stronger than ever. Think it depends on the dog and how bad and where abouts the break was. Fingers crossed and good luck with the dogs recovery

this bitch has a plate in her leg , she wont be running again , but has been lined and pups due real soon , 11th sept . because he wanted a pup from her for next season , then the bitch is going to be rehomed to a pet home ( already found a suitable home) after her litter .
