Rolfe 2
Nothing to do with hunting whatsoever.........but I was out with the harvester waiting for some bunnies to bolt and was intrigued by the stonework in the wall I was standing next too. It forms part of the boundary wall to the Lord Spencers estate (Princess Di's Brother). I just love the different sized stone in the various courses all done with Lime Mortar and hundreds of years old.........but still in near perfect condition. Guest greengrass123
Nice work as mark said would cost an arm and a leg for that nowadays, i prefer to see random walling where the bed joints are at split levels. Used to do a fair bit of it once, just too costly nowadays.
Caravan Monster 323
I make my living on the Northants walling Rolfe. Those boundary and field walls at Althorp are impressive- they go on forever. I' m working not too far away at the moment, doing the chimneys on a big house in Holcot. Must get some photos if I get a clear day- the owner reckons you can see six counties from up there; not so sure myself, but amazing view nonetheless.

Still plenty of bunnies about.........I regularly take 2000+ Rabbits a year from the golf course alone and have done so for the last ten years.

Varies massively according to your region and what sort of stone you are building the wall from, but generally more than that, I' m afraid. Micky and Rolfe- maybe I should be trying to get permission in that part of the county- I' m about twenty miles away, and we only really get small numbers in little hedgerow warrens round here.
