fig 4 tealer

i think the figure four tealer is the "standard" design....... the single tealer, is the modification, for use in hard ground.........

 

 

i could be wrong however... and im sure one of the more knowledge-able lads will put you straight ;)

 

as a preference, i always liked to use the figure four tealers, opposed to the single tealers

what is the purpose of the figure of 4 tealer i mean its design? is it for a better hold in soft ground? any reply will be recieved with many thanks.

Hi mate, it prevents the tealer turning and once you set it, it stays where it is.

There is a few instructional dvd's out there... but ideally, try and find someone to teach you ;)
snaring, trapping longnetting would'nt be a big think round my end rabbithunter would love to have a mentor but its books dvds and lessons from my own mistakes for me lad. atb Edited by fathom

Get yourself a copy of woodga's snaring dvd, can't go wrong IMO
have watched it lad its an excellant watch very informative really give me confidence in making and setting my own snares, showed how to make the tealers just wondered why its design shape. cheers woodja for a great watch :notworthy: Edited by fathom

yes it sits stable in the ground , and has a nice grip to hold while inserting it into the ground , along with the double eye at the top to allow the knot in the end of the snare cable to spin freely in a 360 degree rotation .
