undisputed 1,664
as for numbers like 7 ect depends if you are talking double or single we run double most time just for catch rate and can often hit teens and well beyond, foxes here aint easy and take some bloody catching Cant be that difficult mate with catch rate like that imo no offence! only with the right dogs!! never had a good dog and am first to admit it good fox dogs are rare and are hard to find but some people have standards and others make do with what the got So what are you saying that makes a "Good" fox dog?...catch rate or how the dog goe's about its buisness.?..or is it all relative to its surroundings and what its presented with? stormrider8 59
surely a fox dog just keeps killing? No limits. Why would it only do 1 or even 4. Once they do the job they do it!! SIMPLE Quote Link to post

Thats how i see it anyway! how do you know if the two dogs doubled up can do it themsleves. if you breed pups from these dogs do they sell two for the price of one???!! if you ask me if you need to use two dogs to get them then you need to get another dog or use another method e.g. snare, terrier shotgun hounds rifle. the only dog ever doubled up should be hounds/ terriers and lurchers should always be single handed. Im with you on that one Ad.. spot on pal Quote Link to post

So are we now saying that dogs doubled up on foxes arn't really fox dogs? and to qualify for that title they need to be taking in excess of 7 a night single handed? :headshot::  Edited August 31, 2008 by undisputed Quote Link to post
