as for numbers like 7 ect depends if you are talking double or single

we run double most time just for catch rate and can often hit teens and well beyond,

foxes here aint easy and take some bloody catching

Cant be that difficult mate with catch rate like that imo no offence!

only with the right dogs!! :tongue2::tongue2:

never had a good dog and am first to admit it good fox dogs are rare and are hard to find but some people have standards and others make do with what the got

So what are you saying that makes a "Good" fox dog?...catch rate or how the dog goe's about its buisness.?..or is it all relative to its surroundings and what its presented with?

If you want Sport you Run Them SINGLE...If you want Pest Control/Numbers you run them DOUBLE!

Quality or Quantity?

Thats how i see it anyway!

:victory:

how do you know if the two dogs doubled up can do it themsleves. if you breed pups from these dogs do they sell two for the price of one???!!

if you ask me if you need to use two dogs to get them then you need to get another dog or use another method e.g. snare, terrier shotgun hounds rifle.

the only dog ever doubled up should be hounds/ terriers and lurchers should always be single handed.

Im with you on that one Ad.. spot on pal

Adam:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: the lad's with bull x's say their dogs do fox but double them up not many people like putting dog's on single incase the dogs get fecked up. . in my eyes if a dog get's stuck into it's tackle time and time again then it's proven

So are we now saying that dogs doubled up on foxes arn't really fox dogs? and to qualify for that title they need to be taking in excess of 7 a night single handed? :headshot::

mono on mono = one on one... :victory: ...and its ok to double on your females... :whistling: maybe i shouldnt of commented on this thread with me not being a foxing man....but i would of thought if you were a foxing man you would like to have a dog that can do it on its own ,,,,,not doubled up....surley a dog that can do it on its own is twice as good as a dog that needs help in doing the job...just my opinion,,,,,
