DevonHunter 0
Ive been looking at the Air magnum 850, and i was wondering if anyone knows of the ups and downs. I have been on the review websites and they all seem a bit biased as to how good it is. Am i getting the full story? Help shall be apreciated Quote Link to post
DevonHunter 0
i got one but just sold itgood points are its light and black so pretty easy to blend in with powerfull and accurate bad points are its expensive to shoot unless you do shoot a hell of alot with it and so are not wastin gany gass its loud it is very smooth actioned though and raley jams i can shoot 8 shots into a bottle top at 20 yards pretty easily relitivly cheap if i was buying a gun now id get a decent springer less hasle and i think easyer to shoot as less complicated Hmmm okay, i shoot about 4 days a week so nothing will go to waste. Operator 3
I've got the 850 carbine which comes with the suppresor, I don't have any other rifles to compare it to but I hope my comments will be of some help. Pros: Easy to use, simply screw in airsource co2 cartridge and your ready to go. Compact, no problems lamping from a car. Quiet with suppresor. Inexpensive and due to the plastic stock no worries about scratches etc. Fun to shoot for plinking as well as hunting. Co2 cartridge lasts a long time in the gun without it being fired. Cons: Not the cheapest to run due to having to buy airsource co2 (best place = http://www.tyreinflators.co.uk/shop/index....Cat&catId=3 ) Drop of in power after 100ish shots causes change of zero and inconsitant hits. If I've used it a fair bit I'll stick a new CO2 in before hunting and fire 20 odd check zero shots to get it accurate and consistant. Tricky to fit a bipod, I managed to fit a QD stud with lots of trial and error, works fine now. I like mine and will probably keep it, but I'm also looking to get a proper PCP (If I can ever earn enough overtime to have afford it!) I've bagged woodies, rabbits and squirrel with no problems and fired hundreds of pellets without any jams or other problems. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll answer if I can.
