J0N 0 Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Share Posted August 29, 2008 Thanks for the constructive feedback and advice, I am only 17 and like I said am very new to all this, still alot to learn! 2 / 3 mins with a 9month whippit on big ears, Spot on ooty No running dog should be running at large quarry let alone rabbits at 10 months of age.Physically and mentally the dog will be far from mature,and could be injured or ruined by starting t so early.My beddyxwhippet was out ferreting with me,and catching bolters at 7 monthsold,but i never let her run on open ground till she was over a year old.Tale your time and let the pup be a pup. J0N 0 Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Share Posted August 29, 2008 my misses's mum and dad have a whippet mate, hes a gamekeeper but the dog doesnt see much with them its only me and my misses that take it out with us, we work him they feed him haha, hes caught them aswell hes a bit short on speed for a few but hes had a few aswell, along with other bigger quarry most whippets wouldnt take, hes a pedigree aswell, suppose theres some good 1s in amoungst them hes as game as f**k.
