fielder 18
My daughter has bought a pure bred KC whippet, not as a worker really, but I will really have to give it a go . It is now 23 weeks and is very lively and bold. I have never had a pure whippet so would like some advice about what age you recommend for entering it to rabbits? Quote Link to post

If i was you i would leave well alone. if you want to have a whippet for work get your own. if you take that pup out and get it wrecked there will be a war iwould say. at my house my dogs are mine i look after them feed them walk them hunt them. no one else has any say and that the way it should be. my friends are all the same pretty much. lurcher get killed in the field terriers can suffocate ferrets get lost, that is my pain to suffer alone not for a wee girl or wee lad. Quite right , if it was me id get me a small lurcher thats doin a bit already n use that while raising a well bred pup then you will have two so if one picks up an injury you can still work tother and two are more fun than one anyway , good luck Quote Link to post

fishman307 0
Dont think age matters, It is still an offence if your caught entering a whippet ! Quote Link to post
