smashy you listed mine as whipp/grey she is in fact 1/4 kelpie x whipp/grey. :clapper: not that it matters a huge amount, but i know you wanted your board perfect :clapper:

iam on to it now tomo lol thanks :clapper:

Just an observation mate, but you haven't got them in the correct running order, and that will cause confusion as to who runs who in the 2nd round !

Cheers.

Wouldnt it be in the hat for the second round ? obviously keeping people as close in their area as possible but if their is say 4 from the northeast in the 2nd round its only fair they are out of a hat with say ian b drawing them as we can all trust him im sure of that. people cant be seen to be handpicking their opponents.

Lets not start changing the rules now !!! This is the way LDR said it would be, and I'm sticking to that !! I would far rather meet my best mates dog in the final, but if it's to be in the 2nd round; so be it !!!! No rule changes now !! There is no "handpicking of opponents", It is luck of the draw, and the draw has been made !

Cheers.

The way it is mapped out will all depend on how the Wiltshire group do on their first heats, the way its worked out is that on the whole heat one should produce heat two going down the board, but if one, two or all three of the wiltshire lot go through, then it will change the way the second heats run, unless of course they decide they want to travel up again for the second heats........ but there will be winners at different loacations in the country after the first heat, so until we've got the results of the first heats and see who's won and where people are located, i dont see how anyone can tell who's getting who...............

lets say for arguements sake, they all come up and wipe the floor with us, they may all agree to come up again and take on the rest of the northern winners from heat one, if say just one wins, then they may choose to have the next heat closer to home, as there will be, 3 or 4 possible winners from heat one nearer to them than coming back up to the north east!!!

The way i worked the table was so that people who asked to be kept apart in the first round, would where possible, still not meet in the second, this is the reason why wiltshire are coming up, as understandably they dont want to be knocking each other out early on!!!

This applies to the second heat, if more than one of them goes through, that there'll be other winners to keep them apart, likewise for max and fieldy, as they share kennels, its understandable tha they dont want each other straight off, and i think if i've done it right and they both go through in the first they'll still be apart in the second............

Other than this, it's impossible to keep everyone separate, so i say we see how this way works this year and if after its felt that draws for every heat are a better way of matching, then next year we'll try it that way!!!!!!

Its all irrelevant at the min till we know where the wiltshire lot finish up and even after that, it dont matter cos i'm gonna whip all your arses............................. :clapper::clapper::clapper::clapper:

Hold on mate, thats not what I understood !! You cannot wait until the 1st round is run, then decide who runs who in the 2nd round !! That will only lead to suspicion and make a mockery of the competition !! I understood, from talking to you, that if I was lucky enough to win my 1st round, I would be up against you or Rew in the 2nd round !! Which is exactly as it should be !! They don't re-draw the F.A. Cup or Wimbledon after the 1st round !! There will only be eight dogs in the 2nd round, some one will have to travel !!

Cheers.

He's right to keep things simple and save any arguments I think we keep things the way they are!!! I dont think people will mind the travelling if thier dogs in the last 8.

So chartpolski if you are victorious and rew is to you dont mind traveling down notts for your 2nd round heat ?

I'm travelling down to Newark on sunday evening, after the St. Johns Chapell Show, for an evenings rabbit shooting, a nights lamping with a lurcher and a whippet, and a morning goose shooting !! So, yes, as I have just told LDR, I'd be prepared to travel down to Cornwall, never mind Notts, for a 2nd round encounter, if I was lucky enough to win my 1st round !!!

Cheers.

Dont meen to be a dick but a lamping competion lamping rabbits doesnt realy say much about the dog i mean its not rabbiting that seperates the good dogs from the better ones.

No, it only seperates the people who are willing to put their dogs up, from the ones who denigrate it !!

Cheers.

Sean, I take it you mean me, when you say "the boy above you" !! Firstly, I'm not a boy, I'm 56; secondly, I don't know anything about you or your dogs, so couldn't comment on your dogs. You post on a thread you know nothing about, and suggest that rabbits are not the quarry of a lurcher, well my lurchers over the years have taken EVERYTHING, what is it that YOUR dogs take ?? Do enlighten us !!

Cheers.
