Guest Leveller
Yes I can make more. Can you? how much would they be? I wouldn\'t want holes for cable ties though have you improved it at all since that design? and also I\'d need to have the buckle closer to the unit as my dogs have thin necks. Thanks One question.....would it work with the Pieps Locator (The b+f one?). Iv found some U.S websites that work out a damn site cheaper than b+f Yes it uses the same frequency Quote Link to post

Thanks One question.....would it work with the Pieps Locator (The b+f one?). Iv found some U.S websites that work out a damn site cheaper than b+f Yes it uses the same frequency I can indeed make as many as anyone would want, I'd have to make another first to give a definite price, but they be no more than £15 inc post for sure, lifetime guarantee as with all my stuff. I've only made 2 so far, can understand people might not like the cable tie idea, it does however mean there is no way that can come undone, to be honest I would be happy selling any that I wasn't 100% convinced the unit was solidly attached to the collar, so if you're not into the cable ties then fair enough, you've found someone else who'll sell them without. Collar in the photo was for quite a large dog so I'd made that collar as I do my others, D ring at the end, gap between D and Buckle to make sure they don't rattle together. I could just as easily make them with the buckle at the end and either no D ring, or an O ring that the collar passes through to use to attach the dog to a lead/tie out. Those collars could be made in 1" (25mm), 1.5" (40mm), and given a bit more time, 3/4" (20mm) Ref: "thin necks", I do always ask for an approximate neck size when making collars so am sure I could accomodate yours no problem. hue jeers 6
Alternatively, you could get a whippet collar for just past a fiver, and tie wrap the thing on. For this, you would need a Whippet collar, a leather punch and some tie wraps. I used three tie's, two through the bracket and one over the bracket, then taped the whole thing up with electrical tape to protect the ties from teeth like implement's whilst working, in the style of some rough bloke who don't know what he's doing. Permanent as you want and works for just over a fiver, not difficult at all. Kak picture I know but it does the job Quote Link to post
Guest Leveller
I don't have a whippet though Quote Link to post

hue jeers 6
thats what i thought, good idea, but on the inside of teh collar i am sure the dog wouldn't like that I trialled the things on my young dogs, they had them on for 36 hours + and not once did they moan they were uncomfortable Field trials have been succesful as well. I cannot pretend to be some sort of Seemstress but I tell you it works and they won't fall off. Up to you all how you spend your money mind. Oh, and Ortovox themselves recommend having the locator on the inside of the collar Quote Link to post
