Decent collar for the Ortovox

I bought some excellent rabbiting nets from Selwyn who is the king of netmaking and his service and quality is second to none and he also supplied me with an ass kicking collar for the Ortovox so all the worries about the knob getting knocked and turning off or the case not being strong enough are a thing of the past the whole job has finally come together.

Fingers crossed it might even get an airing this weekend too.

Thanks again Selwyn..................

I had to try it on for size and as you can see it fits well but the bloody dog wouldn't stay still for long enough to get a good pic :D

Looks the business that collar levs, should keep the ortovox nice and safe :clapper: .I am glad to see people are now using alternative units and suppliers, it will keep all the others on their toes :tongue2: .After lengthy discussions with wilf and selwyn i opted for a ortovox patroller box that does the job perfectly and saved me a packet over the well established firms :clapper: ,and i like saving money :tongue2:

LEV,S how much was it all in for the complete Ortovox set ,i was searching

for prices and cant seem to get them .

I am sure a guy on here sells the complete set up boots, can`t remember who, and it is a lot cheaper than other retailers. If you start a thread asking who sells them he may get in touch with you

One question.....would it work with the Pieps Locator (The b+f one?). Iv found some U.S websites that work out a damn site cheaper than b+f

I wasn't going to post on this thread, after all it's f**k all to me if someone wants to make a few collars.

But, the attached photo (crap quality pic because I forgot to save the full size original) is of a collar I made for someone off here, last December (and I have all the supporting emails to prove this), you'll notice there's a slight resemblance to the ones I made .....

Whoever "Selwyn" is, I put holes in the ones I made in order to allow the use of cable ties to be extra secure, webbing can stretch when wet, which is also why I used heavy duty velcro on the collar and the bottom side of the strap, and supplied some pieces of opposite velcro to stick to the transmitter box, stops it moving around, if you're going to do something, do it right or not at all ..........

Seemed only fair to point this out, as the collar in the photo was the result of quite a lot of trial and error prototypes which took a lot of time.

The finished collars were posted on the 18th December 2007.

Yes I can make more.

A xx
