get about WORKING dog shows mate get talking to a few lads and put the word out your looking for a pup i bought my first three dogs from adverts but i dare say when i want another i know enough lads with decent dogs to get one off.

Am just starting out now just started getting into terriers been try to get a pup for a while but nothing yet.

 

Getting anything out of anyone is like rocking horse shit !

Why cant you get a pup off local lads ? If all young lads were given a few pearls of wisdom , and i'm not talking the shit thats spouted on here then the terrier world wouldn't be in such a state. Each and every young lad or lass that shows any interest should be bought on just like the dogs ! ,sorry that people arent more forthcoming to you mate,you are a long way from myself but if i can help then post me on here . see if i can't leap frog you a year or two. PS IF A DOG IS FOR SALE OR ADVERTISED ASK YOURSELF WHY , EVERY PUP I PRODUCE THERE IS SOMEONE WAITING FOR IT.

Alright mate ive got 8 patterdale puppies ready to go in a week an im selling them for 200 even though i have seen them goining up to the 300 mark. but just because they high in price this does not mean the working abilty is also high

lets have it right the only reason to breed a litter is for personal use any left over should be given to lads that are going to test them and not bullshit you and if needed will return the favour

Have just looked on Epupz at the price of Lakey's and Patterdales as i'm after red Lakey/Patt bitch, the average price was around£250 going upto £300!!

I only paid £120 each for both of mine a couple of years ago!

Was just wandering what some of your views are on the prices today and why the massive increase in price?

the price increase may sort the wheat from the chaff , some will be tempted to cash in .but terriermen will continue to place in the best possible digging home f.o.c

if someone had a pup for sale that i thought would have a good chance of makeing the grade i would pay whatever the going rate , no problem . BUT that would be where the person who sold it me ended his contact with the dog . he would not have the [bANNED TEXT] to use as stud or be offered a pup in the future . he would not have any say if the dog failed to make the grade I would decide its fate .
