The only time I catch and release rabbits is in the summer, if needed. Then I usually let them go on permission I have :ph34r: :ph34r: :whistle: :whistle: ready for the winter :whistle: :whistle:

In defense of us Aussies,

 

That person deserves a nice decent slap in the face, Obviously they have something wrong with their brain. Rabbits over here are a pain in the ass, re releasing them is definatly an act of pure stupidity.

 

Why in gods name dont they realise that if they manage there ferreting properly and dont over work the land. They will keep rabbit numbers down and always have somewhere to go ferreting.

 

Why net the bloody holes in the first place?, Im sure if the farmer or landowner found out they released them they would be mighty impressed :realmad:

I can't believe what i'm reading here,and agree entirely with the last posting,the choice of "watership down "as an accompaniant to such drivel would make Make Enid Blyton cringe,Man's feckless

attitude to nature,in this case the introdution of the rabbit to Australia led to desperate measures for thier eradicationand to avoid an economic catastrophe(warrens destroyed with t.n.t. etc)the whole of Australia would have been covered in rabbits of biblical numbers,yep deploy the 2x2 between the ears
