Losing any good dog of any age is always a sad day but to be robbed of one in its youth before its time is worse mate, been there a few times myself....a good skinfull of liquer with a few glasses raised in their memory is what ive been known to do usually saying "thats it !! there will be no more" but i never stick to my word on this

well were do i start - SOLO a saluki greyhound x collie greyhound , 17 months of age .

he was out lamping - and took a turn and lost his feet , and usually he was such a good turner , before he lost his footing , he had turned a long eared , bout 6/7 times , and not giving up . but as it came towards us , he turned it again and * BANG* he it the floor with a thud and rolled several times .

but he carried on coursing .

i never thought nothing of it untill he got home , yelping everytime you touched him from the neck to his back end . top and tail of it , been vets , he has fractured spine , broken ribs and a punctured lung , the best thing was to put him to sleep ...

few pics of solo such a short working life , but stood his ground and earned his keep.

Such a shame that mate he had the makings of a good dog...at least he went out doing what he was bred for....these are the hard bits to take...ATB
