if you have have one of the frist ones heard of few problems with them the engines and gearbox are very soft mates one has had two engines to date dealer told him this aint the norm but he tells me after chatting to other owners they have had same kind of problem i no for a fact local estate had two but got rid of them after one of them needed 4 gearboxes in space of 6 months and other one need new engine sure there must be some good ones out there but dont think i would risk it rather buy defender or toyota but if you want small style 4x4 hear jimmys are very good sure some owner might tell you pros and cons of all three

the electric back window seemed to give a bit of bother on the early models, and as said above change all the olis if in doubt, and good luck with it.
