scottish lurcher 185 Posted September 1, 2008 Report Share Posted September 1, 2008 Hi all, Just got myself a 2.0 DI 3door freelander, used it twice to go lamping and seems well up to the job but being new to 4x4 vehicles , just wondering if there is anything i should look out for on this model? anyone else use one?any tips please Cheers if you have have one of the frist ones heard of few problems with them the engines and gearbox are very soft mates one has had two engines to date dealer told him this aint the norm but he tells me after chatting to other owners they have had same kind of problem i no for a fact local estate had two but got rid of them after one of them needed 4 gearboxes in space of 6 months and other one need new engine sure there must be some good ones out there but dont think i would risk it rather buy defender or toyota but if you want small style 4x4 hear jimmys are very good sure some owner might tell you pros and cons of all three Quote Link to post Share on other sites
