MARTIN CLUNES

ITV contacted myself awhile back as they had visited this site and wanted to get some footage of martin watching some working terriers ratting, but we decided against it, as the media can portray things sometimes in a poor light, not saying ITV would but somethings have been shown out of context in the past via TV...

I normally get a few emails a year for documentaries or wanting hunting type people to go on these reality tv shows, etc... Castaway type

As mentioned..

I'm working on a documentary series for ITV1 about the history of dogs presented by Martin Clunes. Martin is a huge dog lover and will be travelling around both the world and the UK learning about dogs. We'd really like to film Martin seeing some working terriers go ratting and I saw that you had an article about this. We want to show that terriers are not just pets that people have in their homes but that they were actually bred for a purpose and make great ratting dogs. Could you give me a number that I could call you on to explain a little more about the series?

I really wanted to watch this programme.

I'd been out with the dog and gun on a permission at 5.00am and once I'd got back and done all my jobs i had to do i was completely knackered.

I started to watch it but must have fallen asleep and missed everything past the dingo stage.

Will it be available on the ITV replay thing on the web?.

There was something similar done by that Clarissa and the countryman tv programme a few years ago...think it was lads from liverpool ratting. I understand your reservations totally in todays climate feckin rat lovers would probably complain

It was a good decision not to have anything to do with it then, it's a good decision not to have anything to do with it now  Ratings and agendas is what the media is about, anyone thinking they may care about something is misleading themselves
