info on carp fishing

hi im going to a place in preston carp fishing and theres some bigs carp in that go up to 40lb+ all i have are rods that are 2 1/2lb test curve should i invest in 3lb test curve or will my 2 1/2 ones do the job.

More than good enough to play carp on

but how far out are the features/ are you fishing ?

you can only use a 2 1/2 oz lead max so if you need to cast 90+ yards you will struggle

also if you want to fish the method or with pva bags you will find it a bit harder

if its a small lake then you have no worries mate
