on-point 0 Posted August 25, 2008 Report Share Posted August 25, 2008 look back through the topic in ferreting i asked the same question a couple of weeks ago....opinions vary as they always do but it basically boils down to: when you think they are strong and old enough to put up with getting knocked about by a bunny in a stop end. if they are confident and strong then have a go on an easy hole in the open. its not worth frightening them though as they then take longer to enter on-point Quote Link to post

The one 8,551 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Share Posted August 26, 2008 Im slow to start mine as ive plenty ferrets but you will know the answer yourself where they early kitt's are they acting mature enough give them a wee try now and if your no happy with the out come wait a bit .and if there late kitts wait till the turn of the year before you even think about trying them .
