To Camo or not..

Just a quick one which so many do forget and I was reminded of yesterday when out with my lad...

Hands, arms, face...bare skin.... it stands out a mile....my lad was wearing all the kit yesterday and as dusk approached he almost dissapeared into the background of hedgerows, but he had his sleeves rolled up and it was almost uncanny how much his arms and face stood out!!!!

Not so much of a problem for us as we had been using the centrefires so were taking quarry at long distances BUT, at Air Rifle ranges consider very carefully covering ALL your bare skin!!!

Only body part you'll see on me is my eyes when i'm shooting :gunsmilie: the farmer on my shoot thinks i'm crazy but i've had robins, chaffinchs land on me when i've been sitting in a tree line so my camo must do the bizz.I also wear a headnet & gloves when lamping which has improved my approach to the rabbits in the lamp, like you say Deker white skin stands out like a beacon so keep it covered lads ;)

all by hand 8-) pretty easy, can do other stuff as well in this design.

rabbits pick up on smell, hearing, vibrations, and lastly sight.

That's a good point Deker. I was shooting somewhere about 12 months back & it was the hour before dark. My mates nephew was stood against a hedge at the side of the field all cammo'd up. It took me ages to spot him, but when I did, all I could see from the middle of the field, was a beaming white face!
