First Bucks.

Well it's been a busy six weeks at the Pigeons so far, the harvest has been held up well overdue in some areas but the shooting has been very good. There are more birds about this year than I have ever seen before. I'd have been out at the bucks a few more times before now but was waiting for more stubbles to appear, plus I've got a week at them in September so left them alone during this rut. The last couple of stalks I've had 2 novice stalkers out for a change, a 15 year old and a lady stalker. Both got their first buck, nothing big but nice for starters, lets hope their hooked on this wonderful sport!

Hi mate .Great to see the looks on peoples faces when they get a first .The stubbles are holding up everything this year including the foxing but it will all come good sooner or later .

hi mark its nice to see a young lady doing a bit of stalking, and good on ya for the young lad getting his first buck, i emailed your dad about buying some pigeons from him for the freezer but he never got back to me, can you chase him up for me please, want about thirty for the freezer if poss rgds dave.

Hi Dave,

 

That's not a problem. The game dealer comes every Tuesday and Friday to pick them up, usually a couple of hundred plus each time. Come along the day before and take as many as you like.
