Nice 1 Compo, that Teckle Border looks very handy mate, have seen it on your web site.

As for the Hound or Spaniel benifits as a bushing dog, i have just picked up a Cocker x Hound to add to my rabbit pack she is 8 months old and well trained to the whistle, i got her off Chipper Smith and she is a credit to him, will put up some pics soon.

Aye she lifted rabbits from long grass, found a young jackdaw not long fledged and she just carried it about for a walk haha retrieved it tho. She chased a hare but not a flying #### of catching it haha She same size as a springer too, not that fast though, but has the kind of shape that should take a whippet well in the future, just a bit bulkier.

She be a handy enough dog for rough shooting too, as she easy trained up onto whistles etc but I just use her for bushing with lurcher and jrt. Took her ferreting last year but she didn't have the patience for it, wouldn't sit still. But on same note she started to take an interest after first bolt, but never be as good as my jrt.

Very smart dog, as you say though bit big for some jobs, not that she won't try and go to ground if she thinks somethings there just cant get herself down anywhere hahah

Good luck finding a dog too. Ours do both sound similar, and loyalty too is there in mine. Won't let a stranger through the gate if she standing at the front door. And will go on gaurd if she hears any one else in the woods with me. Which is a great trait if I could get it into the lurchers hahaha
