well the we one has been at me for weeks now to take her out with the ferrets but im sick telling her they are a bit young so got her up at half 5 this morning (she's only 5) snuck out while mum and we bro are still snoring and of we went with webly on the shoulder and springer bye my side and a little monster trailing about 10 yards back so we walked threw the first few fields her shouting everytime she seen a rabbit crow woddy or pritty much anything so i eventualy got to a decent spot sat her down one side the dog the other and out with the gun positioned up and waited after 5 mins it was the usual moaning of her boardum when out popped a rabbit followd bye another waited a sec and it stopped took a mouth fool and head up so got lined up and pop! sent sue out and back she came with number one wasnt long and out poped the other one so waited till i had a shot then pop! sue was away againe so we moved to the horse feild mainly to let the we one have a lie in the hay hide i had made up so waited about ten mins as we had spooked a few when coming in and sure enough out one came and pop ! after that they just kept coming so bye half past 6 quarter to seven one more was out and pop! so the wee one was at me so i sent her to get the last one the dog was a bit disapointed but kept the sprog happy so headed home for 7 and the other pair were still snoring made up a wee curry for tea and when she eventualy got up all i got was stick as usual always the bloomin same lol

cheer mate and thanks for the woodys last week ;)

cheers chid she is a cracking we bitch im over the moon with her . i like your hosie dog what cross is it beardie ?

he is deerhound/greyhound/merle collie

he is bred from a hancock dog so could be beardie and border in him :whistling: not a clue on his exact breeding or percentages.

he was brought over from northern ireland by my lass (its her dog really)

he is a cracking looking dog . iv been reading abit into the collie crossesand im thinking of sticking a pure border over my greyhound as the farm i was shooting the other night has a beuty of a dog who is very obedient and a very good worker so should throw decent animals plus im strugling to find a decent saluki or wheaton. been oferd a 25" rednose bull to cover her very racy type bull dark red but after speaking with the other boys who the pups are going to the collie cross would be of more use .

i like the collie x's to. if it was up to me that would be my first choice of dog in my kennel.

only reason the white and brindle one came is because my lass loved the look of him lol

he as got a bit of everything in him ----- beddy/whippet/wheaton/grey put back to a 5/8s 3/8s bull x

dont see why a collie x couldnt do everything you wanted i'd choose collie over bull any day but thats me

well i was a fan of getting a bullx mainly because i have experience with bulls but after thinking about it im not a big fan of the foxe's because you cant eat them and all i realy do is think about my belly haha so the collie cross would be more brainy easyer to train and alot less noisy above a warren than a bullx bouncing about . i am also into the saluki but more for the thought of pre ban outings oh how it would have been great 50 years ago lol but my day of a saluki will come the best idea is to go with the collie its a dog i know and its a dog i have permision to bring home and get the proper use of no matter how long it takes rather than a hash bash ten minute hope he catches her carry on.

i had her out with the springer this morning and there are always easy 10 15 half size rabbits on a field i walk so this is the fisrt time iv had her near rabbits or that becasue she has always been in our kennels and walked on a farm road daily never of a leash and after her broken wrist last year she has never been on the leash as i didnt want to hurt her so today she caught sight of the rabbits and erm slipped the leash lol nah i couldnt help my self they were a good 80 yards out maybe 30 from the edge of the feild and 80 from us so she was on them they started moving so i just had to give her a slip she is in a1 condition so she tanked it over but didnt get near them they were a bit far of but the mane thing was she came strait back and was sound was pritty stupid but i had to give her a run at least i know once she has the pups she will chase and go strait to the rabbist so she will be fne for bringing on my pups although ill never risk puting her back on the track it isnt worth losing her .
