SportingShooter 0
I have a CZ HMR and it likes Winchester Supreme Ballistic Tips. I Zero at 100 and I was "Playing" with it yesterday on a Target 215 yards away(The longest shot I have with a backstop), and it was just about 2.5" low at that distance so very little to correct really. And it was still going through a half post easily, so plenty of Energy, Furthest I have shot anything with it is, just over 200, a Carrion Crow, no trouble. Hope this Helps SS Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
the drop at 200 yards with the .17 hmr is -8.54 inches, or if using 1/8 moa scope 34 clicks, if you zero at 100 you will shoot fairly flat to 125 or 130 yards and be 2.59 inches low at 150 more than enough to get you started...... SNAP SHOT 194
Not a problem SS i'm just trying to help you out..........i was wondering how the hell you managed a 2.5" drop at 200yards......... that wasn't a dip in the last post by the way...............just an observation........... jamie g 17
alot of people i have seen on different forums zero at 35 yards this is then smack on at 125 yards i think it is. i have never tryed it to see if it works i just perfer to stick to 100 yard zero and leave it at that. i have never had any problem with zeroing at that range and even rabbits close in drop with head shots so the hmr is very forgiving round. Mr_Logic 5
I zero HMR at 100 yards normally. Drop at 200 give or take is 1 mildot, so 7.6 inches. Probably more than that, but that's what I allow and it tends to hit stuff... Quote Link to post
