Gav 1,708 Posted August 22, 2008 Report Share Posted August 22, 2008 I would be careful here mate, I found out twenty years ago as I did the same sort of trick, I put similar adds up in shop windows and before I knew it I had loads of permission, the only trouble being you are offering a service "vermin control", taking on too much the land owners are expecting you to do what you advertised, before long it will become more of a chore and doing them a free favour, also if they don't see a marked improvement you could end up losing your permission! I would stop when you have enough manageable permission or you could be digging yourself a very deep hole You say 300 acres .... that is a very big piece of permission and would probably be enough for any experienced hunter! I don't want to piss on your bonfire and think its great you have taken the time to actually get permission, just be careful your FREE service doesn't get too much that you can't manage. I don't want to piss on your bonfire and think its great you have taken the time to actually get permission, just be careful your FREE service doesn't get too much that you can't manage. are you incinuating that i dont know what im up to? or are you just concerned for a fellow hunter if so its fine there are numerus reasons as for why i still want more land and i have it all coverd two of the places i have other people shoot there aswell i was a bit late on getting in there so im looking to secure more of my own where its just me i have one golf course thats just mine! which isnt that big and is well under control and i have 3000 acres of wast land thats all mine which is not in use and the owner gave it to me just for sport really as he is not concernd what happens there at the moment as its just wast land so this new bit will be just fine i like to devote my time to my own land an not land that is shared with other shooters thats all Quote Link to post
