craftycarper 0
don't even bother with the breast mate or the crop area, just end up with a injured bird flying off. Depends on the situation view, head or from the back in between where the wings meet , the upside down v if you like, or if from below straight up the back passage....these always work for me...good solid killing points Quote Link to post

camokid 125
if poss the head mate but the back is allways the 1 for me when you kill one next just take a look at the bird under the brest meet there is a solid plate you dont get a pellet past that Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Depends where you're shooting them we do a fair bit of feral clearance in farmyard buildings at night with the lamp. At the ranges we shoot at, a chest shot with a pointed pellet from 15-20 yards away does the trick. Not only does it give you quicker target acquisition, it also gives you more room for error, as you'd soon lose your permission by turning the farmers shed roofs into something that resembles a piece of Swiss cheese! Molie1337 35
i allways go for the neck or back, pigeons heads move far to much, and since seeing someone shoot a ferals beak off and the bird flew away , i dont go for the headshot, its not really just a clear case of "hit or miss". if you know where to shoot them in the body theres no need for a headshot. back, neck or up the pooper Quote Link to post
